This website belongs to Dr. Abu Akrama, Consultant Orthopedic & Trauma Surgeon at Cribs Hospital, Madhubani, Bihar. It is an information website. This page explains, in plain language, what information is handled when you use it.
1. What this website does not do
- It has no user accounts, no login and no online payments.
- It does not run advertising or analytics trackers of its own.
- It does not store the details you type into the booking form on any server of ours.
2. The booking form
The “Request a consultation” form asks for your name, phone number, preferred date, consultation slot and, optionally, a description of your concern. When you press Send on WhatsApp, your browser assembles these details into a message and opens WhatsApp so that you can send it to the clinic. Nothing is transmitted until you press send inside WhatsApp. The message is then handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy, and the clinic uses it only to reply to you and arrange your consultation.
Please do not include sensitive medical records or identity documents in that first message. Share them with the clinic directly when you attend.
3. Calls and email
If you phone or email the clinic, the clinic will see your number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us. Medical information you share is treated as confidential and used only for your care and for contacting you about it.
4. Third-party services
Some parts of the site load content from other companies. When they do, that company can see your IP address and basic browser details, as with any website:
- Google Fonts for the typefaces used on every page.
- Google Maps for the map on the Contact page.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced embed) when you open a surgery or case video, and for links to the doctor’s channel.
- WhatsApp when you use a chat or booking link.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and keeps ordinary server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
These services have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s session storage only to remember, for the current visit, that the short opening animation has already been shown. It is cleared when you close the tab.
6. Patient images and case material
Photographs, X-rays and videos in the Gallery and Medical Cases sections are published for patient education. Identifying details such as names are removed, and surgical images are blurred until you choose to view them. If you appear in any material and would like it removed, contact us and it will be taken down.
7. Children
This website is meant for adults, including parents and guardians seeking care for a child. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the site.
8. Your choices
You can ask the clinic what information it holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or ask us to stop contacting you, by using the details below.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
